From the north via M1:

  1. Exit at junction 22 and follow the A50 toward Leicester Rd.
  2. Take the second exit onto Bradgate Hill / A50 at the roundabout.
  3. Head toward Groby Rd / A50 and follow signs for County Hall.

From the south via M1:

  1. Exit the M1 at junction 21a and take the A46 to Braunstone Frith / Kirby Muxloe / B5380 (keep right at the fork).
  2. Continue onto the A46 and take the A50 ramp toward Leicester.
  3. At the roundabout take the third exit onto Leicester Rd / A50.
  4. Follow signs for County Hall.

From M6 and the west via M1:

  1. Merge onto the M69 at junction 3 and exit onto the M1 toward Nottingham at junction 21a.
  2. Take the A46 exit to Braunstone Frith / Kirby Muxloe / B5380 (keep right at the fork).
  3. Continue onto the A46 and take the A50 ramp toward Leicester.
  4. At the roundabout take the third exit onto Leicester Rd / A50.
  5. Follow signs for County Hall.

From the east via A47:

  1. Take the B1146 and follow the A47 toward Coplow Ln.
  2. Head toward the A607 in Thurmaston.
  3. Continue toward the A46 to Gynsill Ln and take the A5630 exit from the A46 at the roundabout.
  4. Exit onto the A607 and take the A5630 toward Beaumont Leys / Anstey.
  5. At the roundabout take the second exit onto Gynsill Ln and follow signs for County Hall.

From Leicester City Centre:

  1. Head northeast on Vaughan Way / A594 toward Highcross St and follow the A50.
  2. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Groby Rd / A50.
  3. Follow signs for County Hall.

By Public Transport:

By train

Leicester railway station can be reached via the Midland Main Line. Once here, you will need to use other services.

By bus

There are a number of bus services that operate between St Margaret’s Bus Station and County Hall. Service numbers 27, 28 and 29X run towards Coalville and Groby. You will need to ask for County Hall which will take you to the nearest stop to us. Once arrived, head south and turn left onto Leicester Road/A50. County Hall will be on the right hand side.

On arrival please report to the Driver Education Workshops reception where you will be directed to the waiting area.

When arriving for your course at County Hall please be aware that you will only be able to gain access to the Driver Education Workshops car park from:

Morning Course: 8:15am
Afternoon Course: 12:00pm

Due to limited parking within the Driver Education Car Park please use all available parking bays by double parking.

You must ONLY park within the designated Driver Education Workshop car park while attending the course. Parking in other areas of County Hall is not permitted without a valid permit and can result in a fixed penalty notice being issued, or your car being towed away.
